FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) Prototypes are produced in-house from customer CAD files in strong ABS resins as part of every new CWM custom die casting project. In addition to allowing customer evaluation before die construction, these FDM parts provide direct guidance, in advance of first-piece production, for design of trim tools and fixtures that may be required for post-casting machining and surface finishing. Shortest possible lead times are assured.
CNC In-House Machined Prototypes, in the alloy specified for final die casting production, can be produced for your exhaustive functional testing. Working from your CAD files, a limited CNC production run can be cost-efficiently provided for more widespread marketing evaluations. The CWM CNC fixtures developed for this prototyping can often be economically repurposed for later post-casting part machining required.
